Hello!

My name is Steven Carlos Padin. I wish I lived in either Narnia or Perelandra, but I do my best to find the echoes of each here on Thulcandra.

I am Puerto Rican by blood, which shouldn’t matter to anyone but myself and my family, but which does make for amusing conversation with people with strong opinions on such things.

Musically, my oasis was always writing music with the bands I helped to start, ‘This Day and Age’ and ‘The Reign of Kindo’. Eventually, many things combined to set fire to my oasis. There’s nothing like having your life plan, career path, and really entire world ripped out from under you. And then there’s nothing like finding the beauty of things outside of the world you thought there was nothing outside of. I am looking for that beauty always. Hidden behind hashtags and politics and movements and noise and screens and protests and posts are things worth searching for. This is the worst bio ever. I am blessed to play the drums for The Strictly Hip, Jessie James Decker, Gin Wigmore, RNSM, and other various projects or artists. I was one of the founding pianists for Rec Room’s Dueling Pianos Band, and will still pop in from time to time. I play solo acoustic and duo sets all over the WNY area at various bars and restaurants. I’ve played weddings and parties and all sorts of other functions and get-togethers. I have a home studio that I can record drum tracks to send out, or have ready to hammer out some killer demos at killer rates with you or you and your killer band. Long and short of it, if you’d like to work with me musically, I’d love to hear from you.
